History
Ayurveda is a system of holistic healthcare that has been existing in the Indian subcontinent since 6000 BC. It is the world's first and most continuously practiced system of medicine. This great and ancient system of medicine is rooted in the Vedic tradition. The Charaka, Sushruta, and Vagbhata texts, along with compilations of thousand-year-old manuscripts in palm leaves, and other written or printed text formats , are the very foundation of this ancient knowledge treasure of Ayurveda. Even in this digital era, more than eight millennia later, this ancient Indian system of medicine has not lost its importance. Ayurveda is recognized as a medical system under AYUSH in India and internationally by the World Health Organization (WHO) as traditional, complementary, and alternative medicine. Kerala, the state that has kept Ayurveda unique and complete, has passed it down through generations, making many significant contributions to this knowledge, especially in herbal medicines, literature, and treatment methods incorporating the Arya and Dravida concept

Ayu Care
Ayu: Care, Keraleeya Arya Vaidya, headquartered in Thrissur Kerala, is Kerala's largest specialty Ayurvedic clinic network, founded with a mission to introduce and popularize traditional Kerala Ayurveda to the world through scientific treatment methods. Through its continuous contributions in Ayurveda, including Ayurvedic medicine production, clinical services, research, and publications, Ayu Care has become one of the most trusted names in the world of Ayurveda. Today, the Ayu Care Clinic Network has more than 300 clinics across India, with over 50 Ayurvedic Doctors providing specialized Ayurvedic treatments under the leadership of Dr. K. Mahesh Menon, MD (Ay), who serves as the Managing Director and Group Chairman of Ayu: Care Keraleeya Arya Vaidya

Ayu:Care Kerala Arya Vaidya is dedicated to offering relief from diseases through a comprehensive approach, encompassing both internal and external Ayurvedic treatments. Within internal treatment, the Rasayana treatment is identified as the most effective, with the Arka treatment specifically highlighted as the safest and most potent. On the external front, the crucial method is Shadkarma, wherein kizhi emerges as the prominent treatment. Ayu:Care places significant emphasis on both of these methodologies, recognizing their importance in providing holistic care.

For individuals constrained to extracorporeal treatment due to health reasons or medical limitations, Ayu:Care has developed the Arka treatment. Similarly, for those unable to consume Ayurvedic medicines internally, Ayu:Care has introduced Ayu:CareKizhi—a convenient and effective home remedy. The primary aim is to make affordable Ayurvedic treatment accessible to all.
ARAKAM
Ayu Care gained popularity in the world of Ayurveda through its Arka Rasayana Clinics, which offer Arkatreatments.Arkam is the distilled extract of herbs , which is the most potent form of Ayurvedic medicaments. The liquid form of arkas is derived from the cooling of vaporized herbs. Compared to Kashayas, Arkam is more potent, palatable, doesn't cause stomach problems, and has no dietary restrictions, making it suitable for modern lifestyles.
The presence of alcohol and sugar in some traditional Ayurvedic medicines, such as Arishtasavas and syrups, can cause acidity and sugar fluctuations in diabetic patients. However, Arkam has no such disadvantages.
Due to the high content of metals in some traditional Ayurvedic medicines, regular usage of such medicines may develop kidney and liver problems. But Arkam is 100% safe because the distillation process in the production of medicines does not introduce any metallic elements to it.
As most of the traditional Ayurvedic medicines come with strict dietary restrictions, they are generally not recommended for individuals with a lifestyle that includes the consumption of non-vegetarian food, alcohol, and smoking. However, Arkachikitsa has no such limitations.
ArkaPrakasham, the authoritative text of Arka treatment, originates from the Dravidian Era. Since Arya Vaidya has some reservations about accepting it, Ayu: Care also undertakes the historical task of reintroducing Arkam to Ayurveda under the name of Keraleeya Arya Vaidya. Today, Ayu: Care Rasayana Clinics, with the support of our expert doctors, conduct one-day medical camps every week in various cities across Kerala. You can call 9995121262 to inquire about the schedules and make advance bookings for these medical camps. Additionally, we provide online consultation facilities through our website, www.ayucareclinic.com, for people who are unable to visit our clinics in person.
